Our Little Wizard....Noodle

We call this beautiful little pony, the wizard, because he came to us with an eye protective cover to shade him from the sun and every time we popped it on... he managed to get it off. No easy task, well so I thought! So he became our wizard. Magic pony. And wise he is too. The lesson he shared with me, in that instance, was that so often we humans think we know best but actually if we took the time to watch, listen and learn, we might find that though our intention comes from a good place, we actually do not always know best. We know best when we connect, when we listen not when we come from what we 'think' is best. So, I did watch, learn and listen... each time he took the eye cover off, I observed how he dealt with the sun. I mean personally I would have hated to have the cover over my face but I was told it was imperative in order to stop his eyes burning. But animals are NOT stupid. Every time he saw the sun... he would pop himself in the shade. Not every time it was sunny but if he felt it was going to hurt his eyes, off he would go to the shelter, the stable or under the trees. He knew exactly what to do. The mask went in the bin.

I feel that very often we put ourselves into a state of conflict because we follow orders or follow what we are told to do when in fact none of it resonates with our mind, body or soul. If we actually took a moment to stop, to listen and to learn from the silence between the thoughts, we might just find life a little bit easier and a lot more beautiful.
