Society has told us that we can only do so much. Some have broken these boundaries and proven otherwise and these wonders have kept the torch shining for the rest of us to wake up and remember that we too are magical, wonderful, crazily creative beings. The thing is the moment we connect to our truth and allow our intentions from the heart to resurface and lead the way, we reconnect to something that seems alien, something perhaps we have not connected with since a very young child... before being conditioned into learning the same thing over and over. History repeats itself because we will not let go of history.
I love history but to live and learn by it over and over is proving a little strenuous and unforgiving. Perhaps, we need to allow ourselves to get back in touch with each moment and LIVE IT, letting go of the past and create the life we WANT to live, one that betters us and the world we live. Creating new experiences, rather than trying to 'fix' the past.
My journey with these beautiful ponies has been something I don't think I ever imagined. To have a horse, yes. To have 10 living out all year around, roaming around me, interacting with me some days, other days not... being horses, teaching me their way... no I never imagined that. Some days we are in flow and it feels amazing. Other days, like yesterday, I feel detached from them. Why? Usually because I have lost myself in 'thinking' and been distracted by other peoples cares or concerns or judgements and lost my vision, my intention, my truth, my dream for the creative journey unfolding before me.
Ultimately losing faith in the possibility and potential that we are takes us off track of our purpose but when we are trusting, accepting that everything is unfolding and occurring just as it should we remain centred, focused, creative.
For sure, it is quite challenging, very challenging, as it is new territory to completely hand yourself over to something that we cannot see, touch or 'prove' but know, feel and connect with. From what I am learning, I believe, the answer is staying present, staying focused with your intentions (from the heart), staying centred and feeling embodied (not scattered).
I am grateful for the nudges the herd will give me on a daily basis, reminding me of my physical being!
How can become more aware in each moment?
Breathe... take moments in your day to be fully aware of your breath. Follow the inhale, the exhale.
Be completely still... focus on the body remaining completely still. Observe any twitches, any need to stretch etc...
Be completely aware when in action - like driving... feel the wheel, the pedals, the gear stick, see the roads and all around you... or boiling a kettle, hear the kettle, see the steam, feel the tea bag, smell the tea/coffee etc etc...
Every time you drift off into thinking - be aware of it and come back to the stillness of the present moment.
Here we will find the answers.
