Meet The Herd
Sacha
Little bossy Sacha is our newest addition. Might be the youngest but is the bossiest. Likes to carry a tummy around with her and to bounce about. She is another wonderful healer. Just her presence says it all. x
Lightening
Our first of the herd. Came as a riding pony and has taken us to the the ground. He has led the way to creating a herd, allowing space to roam and learning lessons how to manage Laminitis and Cushings. He has taught me to trust the intelligence of the horse/pony. He imparts his teachings with patience and gently. He has taught us that healing can take time. To trust the process and embrace the journey.
Nimrod and Me - mid winter and a bit tired! :)
Nimrod is our baby, even though he is now 11 years old! He loves hanging with the little ponies and has now got the name nanny nimrod.... stay young, playful and care for the young! x
MICKY
LOVES to be told how beautiful he is with his gorgeous pink nose and moustache. He teaches about personal space and how when we are treated with kindness, we are kind back. How Love is the answer to all difficulties in this world. Love is our healing. Micky arrived as Minty but we had a Minty in the household so his name had to change. :) He was a bulldozer. Literally would walk through and over one. SO shut down. Our beautiful mare Connie, who has passed, grounded him in horsey ways... quite tough with him in fact. Biting, kicking, chasing... but it worked. He came back into his body and can now engage with his friends and with us! I kept telling him how beautiful he was and he seemed to like that...so with many a compliment and some firm boundaries we are creating a relationship of respect and trust. He can still be a little bit pushy and that is not cool as he is BIG. But he is listening! Learning new ways, takes time when you have been hurt. So patience, once more, is a virtue.
Pumpkin & Liam in winter!
Liam is very sensitive, intuitive and a great communicator. Loves a cuddle. Liam is a tester of boundaries and very playful when he is testing them! A kind, kind, loving soul x
George
My first pony! Gorgeous George. Highly sensitive in every way. Teacher of boundaries, space and learning to say yes and NO. George came to us frightened of head collars and having is head touched. Headcollers can still be a problem but we are getting there... 10 years on! He is extremely sensitive to tone of voice and responds fearfully when the tone is cross or impatient. His boundary is put up immediately. Usually with him bum! And a beautiful big bum he has! The message is clear. And that is one of his many teachings.... clear messaging allows us to understand. If we have problem in our day to day, better to clearly express than sit around grumbling about it and creating a message that is far from what we are actually feeling.
Cocoa & Micky
Cocoa is gentle, wise, kind and the most sensitive healer. Reponds to all healing sessions, showing that deep healing is two ways. A great teacher in releasing and letting go.
Ash & Cocoa
Best friends. Ash is aloof when you are not listening. Connected when you are. Holds space for deep, uncomfortable shifts.
Noodle
Our little wizard. Wonderful healing friend.x Noodle loves to have his chest rubbed and says thank you with a huge smile. He knows who needs what and is also a great reminder not to assume.... just because he is small does not mean you can just invade his space and demand cuddles. He demands respect in all ways. Something that we must all do but in a loving and humble way. Noodle is a great teacher of this. We give, we receive.
Pumpkin
Gentle, wise, patient, kind. Shares her wisdom softly but firmly. Runs the herd but in a very subtle way. Arrived incredibly skitty but over time has learnt to relax, to heal and enjoy her friends.
