Meet Our Animal Family
♥Our beloved animals are an integral part of the healing experience at By Nature's Way. Each one has their own unique personality and gift to share with our guests. Whether you prefer gentle observation from a distance or hands-on interaction, our animal companions offer unconditional love, presence, and therapeutic benefits that enhance your wellness journey.

Lightening
Horse
Where it all began. Lightening has taken me/us on a journey to take down fences, to ask questions and to explore other narratives. He has encouraged critical thinking! He has shown me that horses/ponies/Nature 'know' what they need, we just have to allow the space for them to show us. He has shown me that humans really need to let go of the need to understand and analyse everything and instead relinquish control and experience life and allow others to do the same.

Micky
Horse
Came as Minty. We already have a Minty in the home so we renamed the beautiful boy. He arrived totally shut down and unaware of anything or anyone that stood in his way. With the help of the herd, especially from the late Connie, and daily reminders of just how beautiful he is, he has become a calm, gentle giant. He is caring and protective of all his friends.

Ash
Horse
A matriarchal figure. A teacher of grit and getting uncomfortable. She will stand close but not too close. She will let you in on her terms and her terms only. Having arrived fairly shut down and a bit of a push over, she now stands strong and empowered as Cocoa's wing lady. She is an empowered being.

Cocoa
Horse
Let go, Let God. Let go, let be. Cocoa holds a huge space for us all. He encourages all beings to be, to heal, to release, to let go, to align. He is an incredible being who is gentle in his authority. He came to us on the way to the knackers yard and I am so very, very grateful he stopped off with us. What a kind and generous soul.

George
Horse
A bestie. George was my 'first' pony. He came to me when I turned 37, needing a home, head shy, and a challenge. We bonded and learnt about boundaries and the power of love. A true teacher in Authenticity. He reminds everyone to show up, for themselves and for others and to show up honesty.

Nimrod
Horse
Beautiful boy came to us as a foal, straight off the New Forest. Came for a few days of grass and never left. His coat has changed colour so much over the years, he now stands a tall, handsome light grey. He has a tendency to barge through boundaries keeping one aware and very present!

Liam
Horse
Since moving Liam has been on watch. He has blossomed into his grown up self, having come to us from Horse world welfare too as a young gelding. He is very, very friendly and would climb onto your lap if he could! He is a great teacher in showing up and making sure one's field is loving but strong. If one is off centre he will move right in.

Noodle
Pony
Cute little, wise, Noodle. I call him the wizard as he arrived with an eye protector from horse world welfare a while ago and ALWAYS got it off. He knows how to heal, he shares that rest and recuperation are key and being within a community of friends is essential. He has been a great teacher in not interfering. He is also very good at saying just because I am cute does not mean you can smother me with your needs!

Tiger
Horse
Tiger is our most recent addition arrived a few months back for retirement. Having been the kind, wonderful pony for many young kids he is now living with the herd, stripping off any identities with expectation and being a pony. He is best friends with Pumpkin which is super cute. He, like her, spends more time on the periphery but is getting more and more confident by the day to immerse himself within the herd fully.

Pumpkin
Horse
Pumpkin is a gentle, gorgeous mare who came from Horse world welfare. She is calm, kind and giving. Stays on the periphery of the herd but very much part of the herd. She loves a quiet moment with one and adores a grooming session when the others allow her to have a turn!

Goaty
Goat
These guys came from Rosie in North Cadbury. They are the coolest animals. So ethereal and fun. They are great teachers in joy & intrigue & wonder. They remind me/us daily of the importance of having fun and doing their best to help us remember that joy is at the very core of our being.

Lady Princess Sparkles & Bob
Pigs
These two came to us about 18 months ago. A dream once had in Battersea zoo came true a few years later! They are so fun and sweet. Very social animals and very clean! They love their breakfast, strokes and tummy tickles.

Philly/Sheepy
Sheep
Sheepy has this matriarchal energy. She sits and observes quietly. She could be seen to be aloof but I feel that she might just be reminding me/us of the wisdom in silence. Thank you Philly.
